Roy Hodgson: West Brom Boss Reportedly in Line for England Job

According to ESPNsoccernet, Roy Hodgson is scheduled to meet with the Football Association on Monday in anticipation of coming aboard as the Three Lions' next boss. West Bromwich Albion, Hodgson's current employer, has given the FA permission to discuss the vacancy with him.
The FA has been in search of a new voice to guide the Three Lions at Euro 2012 since Fabio Capello stepped down on February 8th, amidst a dispute regarding John Terry's captaincy.
Stuart Pearce has served as England's caretaker manager since Capello's resignation.
The job was long believed to be Harry Redknapp's to lose, at least until his Tottenham Hotspur side began to fizzle in the English Premier League.
The bigger concern, though, rested with Redknapp's lack of international experience, at least when compared to Hodgson, whose extensive resume includes stints with Finland, Switzerland and the United Arab Emirates. He's also spent time coaching football in Denmark, Italy and Norway, albeit at the club level.
The 64-year-old's current contract with West Brom is set to expire this summer. He's expected to sign on with the Three Lions through the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
