Olympic Football 2012: How Mexico Can Stop Neymar and Brazil

Well, here's what I think.
The absolute worst thing that Mexico can do is to focus all of their efforts on one player, that being Neymar.
Granted, the 20-year-old is one of the hottest prospects in world football, and rightfully so, but he isn't the only dangerman in the Brazilian squad.
Brazil's team is littered with world-class footballers, like Hulk, Alexandre Pato, Ganso, Lucas Moura, Sandro and new Chelsea signing Oscar.
That's six additional players that will need just as much focus as the prodigious Neymar.
I'd be doing a disservice to Mexico if I didn't talk about their route to the final and how they've done what few people thought they would before the Olympics started.
They've kept three clean sheets in their first five games and averaged two goals a game, which isn't that bad.
Players like Giovani dos Santos and Oribe Peralta have shone at these Olympics and chipped in with goals when they've needed to.
(On a side note, I think Tottenham are missing out by not including Dos Santos on a regular basis. He's a tremendous, pacy player, and he just needs some confidence at club level to produce his international form.)
Mexico have also got their own attacking threat, with other players like Javier Cortes and Jorge Enriquez, among others, more than capable of causing problems for Brazil.
The first 20 minutes of the match will be criticial, as Brazil will more than likely look to take the game to Mexico.
The key to Mexico's stopping Neymar and Brazil lies in keeping possession of the ball and concentrating on their own attacking threat, instead of worrying about what Brazil can do.
If the Mexicans can do that, it should nullify the threat of Neymar and his colleagues.
