Both clubs were playing their second match of the 2013 International Champions Cup, but it was the local squad that took control of the pace in the second half to cruise to an impressive victory.

The Serie A champions treated the match like a true preseason tune-up by replacing most of their starters in the second half. The Galaxy, on the other hand, were clearly motivated by an LA-centric crowd and simply wanted the victory more.
Saturday's clash was the second match to take place at Dodger Stadium on Saturday evening, making it the second match ever to be played at the venue. Real Madrid and Everton hold the honor of being involved in the first after their ICC match earlier in the day.
Early on, Dodger Stadium proved to give the Galaxy a bit of a home-field advantage.
Fans from Los Angeles packed the stadium to see their hometown squad in action, but the goals just weren't there for either side in the early going. Robbie Rogers had a chance inside the 10-minute mark, but he could not convert.
The tournament's official Twitter account chronicled the near-miss on Twitter:
With the action staying relatively wide during the early going, it was the MLS side that had more chances to grab an early lead than the international visitors. Right before the half, the Galaxy got on the board.
Omar Gonzalez found the back of the net in the 38th minute to give his side a 1-0 lead. As noted by Fox Soccer Trax on Twitter, the defender was ecstatic about the score:
