Joachim Low, Germany Agree on New Contract: Latest Details, Comments, Reaction

Confirmation of the news was made on Germany's official Twitter feed:
His previous deal was set to run to 2018, the year of the next World Cup in Russia, but his new contract will take him to the 2020 UEFA European Championship, set to be hosted across Europe.
Low, 56, has been in charge of Germany since 2006 and led them to World Cup glory in Brazil in 2014 before the summer's semi-final exit from Euro 2016 in France.
ESPN FC's Stephan Uersfeld provided comments from Low in which he said it had been an easy decision to pen a new deal.
"If both mind and heart say yes, there is no reason to think about it for a long time," Low said. "I still have the same motivation as when I started out. I feel the trust. Developing this team and these players and trying to take them to the highest level is a real joy."
Die Mannschaft have enjoyed consistent success under the former Stuttgart and Fenerbahce boss, reaching the final of Euro 2008—Low's first major tournament in charge—and coming third at both the 2010 World Cup and Euro 2012.
They will undoubtedly be one of the favourites again at the 2018 World Cup.
Low's Germany currently sit atop their group in qualifying for the Russia tournament having won three games from three and not yet conceded a goal, per FIFA World Cup:
During his career as Germany boss, Low has overseen 141 matches, winning 96 of them, drawing 23 and losing 22, per Uersfeld.
His 2014 side were deserving winners of the World Cup, and they produced one of the most extraordinary performances in the tournament's history when they beat hosts Brazil 7-1 in the semi-finals.
