Manchester United's 19-year-old left-back Luke Shaw is not included in the 27, nor is Liverpool's Raheem Sterling. The Telegraph's Henry Winter provided the full squad listing:
The 21-year-old Kane has netted 20 goals in his breakout season in the Premier League with one match still remaining, per BBC Sport.
He earned a full international debut in March and will hope to form a deadly partnership with Ings and Berahino given the trio's respective form this term, per the Daily Mail's Sam Cunningham:
Head coach Gareth Southgate is clearly eager for Kane to take his league form to the Czech Republic for the tournament beginning June 17, per Sky Sports News HQ:
By naming Kane in the squad, Southgate risks the ire of Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino, who reportedly fears his striker's potential burn-out after a long season, per the Guardian's Jamie Jackson.
Along with Sterling and Shaw, Everton's Ross Barkley and Arsenal's Jack Wilshere are also notable absentees.
While Southgate concedes Shaw's fitness prevented him from being chosen, Sterling, Barkley and Wilshere could all have been included, per Winter:
Chelsea's talented youngster Ruben Loftus-Cheek gains his first call-up to the team having recently made his Premier League debut for the English champions.
Southgate will eventually have to cut his squad to 23 before the start of the tournament in which England face Italy, Portugal and Sweden in the group stage.
