Despite the result, Jose Manuel de la Torre can't be happy with his squad's inability to finish near the net in the first half.
This match had plenty of excitement with Mexico generating most of it.
Guyana's defense simply couldn't keep Mexico away from the net, which set up plenty of opportunities, but none made it to the back of the net for the Mexicans in the first half and for much of the second.
After 77 minutes of scoreless action, Mexico began a five-goal explosion that was helped by a Guyana defender who put the ball in his own net. After all the hard work Chicharito put in during the course of this match, it finally paid off as the 24-year-old netted a goal and racked up an assist as well.
