Guyana vs. Mexico: Dominant Win Shows Mexico Will Run Away with Group B

Mexico has had a phenomenal year in terms of accomplishments, with the 2012 Olympics squad taking gold in London and undefeated through the World Cup qualifying matches.
The last opponent El Tri will face this calendar year and in the qualifying rounds will be El Salvador on Oct. 16. The Salvadorans are coming into the fixture off a recent loss to Costa Rica and narrowly defeating Guyana. Those statistics must make Javier Hernandez and co. confident about the upcoming game.
Mexico already have 15 points in Group B and will be crowned the winners of the group in all likelihood, but that doesn't mean the team will go easy on El Salvador.
Jose Manuel de la Torre and his team have only given up two goals in five qualifying fixtures and they'll want to keep that true through six as well. Mexico has been on a mission during this road to Brazil and the Olympic stage to put its name among the favorites in Brazil. That mindset won't change when they take on El Salvador.
The Salvadorans may need the game more sitting just two points behind Costa Rica in Group B, but that will not give them the needed boost to defeat their upcoming opponents. Mexico won the last meeting between these two teams back in June and El Salvador honestly hasn't played a more difficult team before or after that fixture.
The No. 3 group in Group B should value their wins against the likes of Suriname, the Cayman Islands and Dominican Republic, but none of those teams are on the same level as El Tri.
