Germany vs Brazil: Five Things We Learned from the Match

The scoring started in the second half. Miroslav Klose retrieved a ball from midfield superbly and back heeled to Mario Goetze. Goetze set up Toni Kroos. Kroos was fouled in the box. Bastian Schweinsteiger converted from the spot.
For the second goal, Klose and Kroos did a one-two before Kroos set up Goetze, Goetze converted from a tight angle. Brazil got one back when Philipp Lahm gave away a rare penalty. Robinho converted.
Substitute Andre Schuerrle, set up by Bastian Schweinsteiger, scored the third. Neymar scored a late goal to make the final look more respectable.
Five Things We Learned from The Match
1) This German team is well set to win Euro 2012.
Spain might be the top dog in Europe. However, Germany is producing more and more brilliant young stars by the minute.
Mario Goetze and Andre Schuerrle are just two of a long line of youngsters coming through in the Bundesliga. Marco Reus, who didn't feature in the match, is another one of them.
Germany also has a good attacking philosophy. There is very little reason to believe that they will be stopped in 2012.
2) It is time to make Mats Hummels a permanent fixture in the national side.
Hummels' performance yesterday made a few heads turn. Per Mertesacker is a good player, but Hummels' distribution and speed is marginally better than that of the Bremen star.
Hummels and Holger Badstuber formed a superb partnership in the centre of defence. This could be the partnership for Germany in 2012.
3) Mano Menezes needs a definite philosophy.
