It's worth noting only seven friendlies took place since last month's update, five of which were played in the North, Central America and Caribbean zone, reported by FIFA.com.
This means the ranking system's four-year "World Cup cycle" plays a leading role in the alterations. Points tallied from winning matches devalue over time, so Spain's failings at last year's World Cup are far more prominent than their Euro 2012 win.
England's drop also coincides with the lack of matches played and their elimination from the group stage of last year's tournament. Roy Hodgson's men are unbeaten in Euro 2016 qualifying and can expect to move up across the coming months if they continue to rack up victories.
Israel are the biggest movers on points, adding 75 to move into 26th, per FIFA.com. Barbados (131st) and Bermuda (169th) made the greatest jump in places, however, climbing 11 each. It's worth noting these nations also engaged in the most activity, playing two matches across the last month.
Lowly Lebanon accumulated the biggest drop in points and places, losing 90 to plummet toward 146th place.
Spain will look to reintroduce themselves to the top 10 in April's update. Vicente del Bosque's side must negotiate tricky encounters with Ukraine and the Netherlands before then, results which could play havoc on the rankings of the elite.
