Euro 2012: Denmark Players Banned from Using Twitter During Tournament

That frontier is Twitter.
Whenever a major international tournament pops up, some manager or another always gets the bright idea to limit his players' activities.
Sometimes they prohibit their players from intimate relations with their wives and girlfriends (though, apparently, Fabio Capello didn't consider the possibility of there being any gay players in that situation).
This time, it's Twitter.
Yes, Twitter. Denmark's players won't be able to use Twitter during Euro 2012.
Clearly, that makes them the new favorites.

Denmark's players have been banned from using Twitter during Euro 2012.
"There is so much communication during the championships that we want to limit it to meetings with the media," said the Danish Football Association's media chief, Lars Berendt. Several of the Danish squad's players, including the Stoke City goalkeeper Thomas Sorensen and the Ajax Amsterdam playmaker Christian Eriksen, are active on Twitter.
"There was a time when we lived without Twitter and we'll be able to do it during the Euros," said Sorensen – on Twitter. He has more than 20,000 followers on the social networking website.
Denmark was drawn into Group B—this year's Group of Death—with Germany, Holland and Portugal. Their first match, against Holland in Kharkiv, Ukraine, is set for June 9.
Sky Bet rates Denmark at 80/1 to win the tournament. No team is rated as a bigger underdog.
Maybe that's why Danish coach Morten Olsen decided on the Twitter ban. At this point, any strategy is probably a good strategy, right?
