Bolivia vs. Argentina: World Cup Qualifying Live Score, Highlights, Recap

All the talk going into this game was of 2009, when Argentina were hammered 6-1 by Bolivia in World Cup qualifying. Returning to the present, Bolivia were fresh off a 5-0 defeat to Colombia, so the smart money said that the only way they'll beat Argentina this time is by depriving them of oxygen.
What's that, you say? The match is being played 3,637 metres above sea level? Well, that certainly changes things.
La Paz is a very challenging place to come and dominate. The last two meetings between the teams ended 1-1, but factoring in the distinct home advantage meant that Bolivia definitely fancied their chances.
Bolivia took the lead and looked like the better team in the first half, but Argentina drew level through Ever Banega's first goal for his country, just before the break.
The second half was a bit of an anticlimax, with Argentina noticeably suffering with the altitude, talking breaks wherever possible. It opened up as the match drew to a close, as if both teams suddenly decided that maybe they could win the game after all, but a draw was the right result in the end.
Argentina stay top, Bolivia stay bottom. Nothing's changed, but it was by no means a waste of time. Watching football never is, though, is it?
