Indeed, the U.S. women’s soccer team forward had a grand old time on Christmas morning, gallivanting about in a leopard-spotted onesie.
This earth-shattering development was spotted by Mike Cardillo of The Big Lead. As to its implications for women’s soccer and/or general fashion, well, let's just say onesies aren’t getting less popular.
The ever-fashionable, one-piece pajama outfit has made a monster comeback over the past year, primarily due to athletes who don’t give a damn whether they look cool as long as they remain warm and comfortable.
Just ask Patriots running back Stevan Ridley, who began rocking moon boots and a royal blue onesie last winter.
Ridley’s “stay warm” attire is evidence that he’s learned a very valuable life lesson—comfort over everything. Even ball security.
Toronto Blue Jays pitcher R.A. Dickey also posted pictures in a onesie last year, showing off a Star Wars-themed getup. The 39-year-old knuckleballer also understands that with the right attitude, sleepwear can generate swagger.
Now, a single question remains regarding the onesie: Can you get with it?
Remember, it’s winter out there, so this thing isn’t as much about form as it is function. You can look cool and freeze or wear a fabric coverall to the grocery store and be as warm as a toaster strudel.
Regardless of your personal fashion choices, we can probably all agree on one immutable truth—Morgan in a onesie is probably the cutest thing you could ever hope to see on Christmas morning.
