Recap Lee couldn't replicate her first-day form on Friday but still carded a solid round of one under thanks to her great work from the tee.
Her flawless run through the course came to an end on the 13th, where she recorded her first bogey, and she dropped a second shot on the 17th. Lee salvaged par with a superb approach shot on the final hole, however, keeping hold of the lead before the late starters.
Feng continued her fine form to creep closer to the overnight leader, hitting four birdies on the front nine on her way to a score of four under.
Like Lee, she dropped her first two shots of the tournament on the back nine, but Jenny Money finished strongly, making birdie on the 18th to cut the deficit to Lee to just a single shot. She took to Twitter to thank her fans for the support:
Several star players emerged from the background on Friday. Thompson bounced back from a poor showing during the opening round to shoot five under. The 21-year-old dropped just one shot, on the sixth, but more than made up for it with four birdies on the back nine.
