Mickelson is leaving his early struggles behind him this year, as he tears it up at Scottsdale.
With another day well under par, Mickelson keeps increasing the ground between himself and the rest of the field.
It helps Mickelson that Bill Haas, who had entered the day in second place, struggled and finished with a score of 70, pushing him down to sixth place.
However, like with any relatively easy course, there were a few big gainers on Saturday.
Padraig Harrington had the best day of anyone, shooting 63 (8-under par) to jump from 20th to tie for third.
Brendan Steele and Scott Piercy also had huge days, both finishing at 65 (6-under par). Steele moved into a tie for sixth, Piercy a tie for eighth.
However, Mickelson's 64 (7-under par) stopped anyone except Harrington from making up any ground, and he'll enter Sunday with a six-stroke lead and a chance to finish the tournament at 30 strokes under par.
