US Open Odds 2014: Latest Vegas Lines for Underrated Sleepers in the Field

According to Odds Shark, only three golfers—McIlroy, Adam Scott and Phil Mickelson—even enter with odds higher than 20-1.
Here the most underrated of the bunch.
5. Webb Simpson, 50-1
Las Vegas has little faith in Simpson. Of course, so did it when he won the 2012 U.S. Open.
Despite him being a former U.S. Open champion, 25 golfers enter with better odds to win than him. Not only is he underrated as a former champ, but he's hot coming off a tie for third place in the FedEx St. Jude Classic.
4. Zach Johnson, 40-1
Johnson isn't rated as poorly as Simpson. However, as 14th-best player in the PGA Tour, he's even more underrated.
Even though Johnson is ranked No. 14, he only enters the U.S. Open tied for the 16th-best odds. He earned that ranking with two tournament wins and three more top-10 finishes this season.
3. Graeme McDowell, 40-1
McDowell has been pegged with the same odds to win as Johnson. He has six top-10 finishes under his belt this season. But what really makes McDowell underrated is that he, like Simpson, is a U.S. Open champion.
McDowell won the U.S. Open in 2010 and finished tied for second in 2012. He's being overlooked after missing the cut at the Masters, but Mickelson missed the cut as well.
2. Hideki Matsuyama, 40-1
Also at 40-1 odds is the 22-year-old Matsuyama. Last year in his first U.S. Open, he tied for 10th. This season, he has four top-10 finishes including his first professional win in the Memorial Tournament this month.
