Tom Watson Ace Video: Watch Watson’s Hole-in-One at British Open 2011

Tom Watson got off to a pretty good start today as he reached a par on his first five holes. He then knocked in a hole in one on the sixth hole and sank a birdie on the seventh hole.
The 61-year-old fan favorite and five-time Open Championship winner sent the crowd up in cheers with this incredible shot that bounced right into the hole.
It might have been a bit lucky, but it's tough to call one of the best golfers of all time lucky. Watson has won every major tournament except the PGA Championship, which has always eluded him. He finished second in 1978, but has never been able to come away with a victory.
Watson has won 39 tournaments on the PGA Tour, tied for the 10th most all time and was inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame way back in 1988. Watson was also named the PGA Player of the Year six times in his career, with the most recent time coming in 1984.
Watson finished the day two strokes over par, but is expected to make the cut, which is projected at 3-over par.
It is terrific for the sport to see Watson make the cut as he truly is a fan favorite and everyone loves to watch him perform on the golf course.
