Tiger Woods Withdraws from 2015 Farmers Insurance Open with Back Injury

A week after missing the cut at the Waste Management Phoenix Open that included an 82 in the second round, his worst round as a professional golfer, Woods was forced to pull out of the Farmers Insurance Open due to injury.
The PGA Tour on Twitter announced the news:
Woods was two over after 11 holes when he was forced to withdraw.
Play was suspended earlier in the day due to fog, which Woods cited as a factor in the injury, per Dianna Marie Russini of NBC4 in Washington D.C.:

Of course, even when he has been healthy, he's struggled, as Sobel noted:
It's hard to imagine that Woods, once arguably the most dominant athlete in any sport during his prime, is at a point in his career where he's far more likely to withdraw from a tournament or miss the cut than he is to be in the running for a title.
And yet the conversation has changed from whether Woods will be remembered as the greatest golfer who ever lived to whether he'll simply be able to remain on the course, as Kevin Negandhi of ESPN tweeted:
It's been a long, very public descent for Woods from his once untouchable perch atop the golf world. The 2015 season has done very little to reverse that momentum, and the hope for Woods now will be that his current injury isn't one that hampers him throughout the season.
