Tiger Woods to Play in Tavistock Cup, Palmer Invitational and the Masters

He had a tightening of his left Achilles tendon that made it impossible to walk and play. With his history of leg, knee, and Achilles problems, he decided to withdraw and seek medical attention.
Evidently, the Achilles healed sufficiently to allow Woods to begin practice on Friday. He said that the ankle felt good and he announced via his website that he will play in the Tavistock Cup and the Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill in Orlando.
“Looking forward to competing,” Woods said.

“I decided to be smart about it and not risk further injury,” he said.
The Tavistock Cup is an Ultra-Country Club challenge pitting teams from Lake Nona, Isleworth, Albany, and Queenwood. The teams are composed of tour professionals and is televised on The Golf Channel on Monday and Tuesday. http://tavistockcup.com/
The Arnold Palmer Invitational will be Woods' final tune-up prior to the Masters April 5-8.
Tiger went on to add, “I’m playing very well. It’s all starting to come together.”
These events will give Tiger the reps that he needs in his build up to the Masters. Hopefully they won’t over stress his 36-year-old body and allow him to be at peak performance for hilly Augusta.
Woods is trying to collect his 15th major title and reach his goal of 19 majors that would eclipse Jack Nicklaus’ record of 18 major championships
