Tiger Woods will make his much-anticipated return to the spotlight when he addresses the fans and media during a press conference scheduled for Friday at PGA Headquarters.

Woods will undoubtedly apologize for his "transgressions" to his family, fans, the PGA Tour, and his sponsors (including those who stuck with him and those who decided to part ways).

The simple fact is that this press conference will be like that of any other superstar with his back against the wall.

His plans for the future will be his main focus for this weekend.

You see, all throughout his career, Woods has been praised for his ability to let the past go and move on.

In interviews, he might be prompted by a reporter with a statement such as, "Tiger, you had two three putts today and you missed a few key putts."

He also is known to give everything a positive twist, an attitude that only champions have (maybe not the best role model, but Woods is a champion, nonetheless). He has alwaysheld himself responsible for his actions, although his blunders have mostly been limited to throwing a club or saying an expletive a little too loud, not to the magnitude of his recent mistakes.

But look for Tiger to try to spin his past in a way that it will help his future.

On Friday, Woods will come out first and make his apologies.

But the vast majority of his press conference will talk about his future in golf and his future as a better husband, better father, and better role model.

Tiger is already...
