Tiger Woods: Minor Injury Now Equals Major Setback

With his current driving accuracy, ranked 176th and distance figures, ranked 65th, he better get that knee real strong because when he returns for his next comeback, he will most likely be hitting out from under a large number of trees.
Early in his career, Tiger had fans move an enormous boulder claiming it was a loose impediment and the rules officials let him get away with it.
But even President Eisenhower couldn't get the rules committee at Augusta to take down the tall fir on the 17th hole that has frustrated many Masters contenders, but only caused injury to one.
That being Tiger Woods.
But there's a much bigger issue here.
Things would be far different if Tiger's comeback had been right on course prior to this most recent misfortune.
For example, let's say he'd won once or twice since the whole debacle that sidelined him, and maybe even grabbed a major.
But 11 majors have been contested since Tiger's monumental career went awry and he hasn't really been a serious threat to win any of them, or any of the other tournaments he's been in for that matter.
If he had mounted a comeback that was really happening, this minor knee issue would be a speed bump instead of a major roadblock.
But his comeback has been limp at best and the once dominant way he played has really started to hurt him as well.
Because apart from whatever is ailing is leg, he must be also suffering from a severely bruised ego, as the guy who was once almost ready to walk on water is now struggling to keep up with the rest of the field.
So now, he gets to show up for competition even...
