Tiger Woods Injury Update: Golfer Will Play in The Players Championship 2015

Woods provided the schedule update on social media:
The 14-time major champion actually played quite well at Augusta despite a long layoff to fix a game that had gotten a bit out of whack. He found himself in a tie for fifth heading into the final round but struggled during the last day to finish in a tie for 17th.
During those last 18 holes of the season's first major, he hurt his wrist. Bob Harig of ESPN.com passed along Woods' explanation of what happened and how he fixed the issue himself on the course.
"It hurts; it definitely hurts," Woods said. "I didn't know there was a tree root there. I drilled the club straight into it. It didn't move, but my body kept moving. There's a little joint that popped out, and I was able to somehow put it back in, which didn't feel very good."
ESPN's Jason Sobel noted that Woods' speedy return was a positive sign:
Apparently, the pain has subsided, and he's ready for a return to action. He's enjoyed success in the event before with two career victories, the last coming in 2013. If he can continue building on the progress seen during the middle rounds at the Masters, he has a legitimate chance to contend.
The 2015 Players Championship is scheduled to start May 7.
