But off to the home of golf we go, as the PGA Tour travels to the Olde Course in St. Andrews,Scotland.
Tiger Woods heads the media frenzy, as other players smile for the welcome distraction he brings,as they try to actually concentrate and go about their business.
Steve Stricker, Justin Rose, Ernie Els, Dustin Johnson, Jim Furyk, Phil Mickelson?, that last one may be a shot in the dark, all have something to say about Tiger beating them even if this is "Tiger's favorite course".
Thie Tiger's favorite course thing is silly, of course. Anywhere he has won is Tiger's favorite course.
Putting is still the same, no matter where he plays. Plus, he no longer drives the longest by quite a bit actually.Tiger better get something going soon, or this season is going to be a forgetable one for sure.
An older established player will throw in a good opening round as usaul on the first day.
Tom Watson will probably play well, but won't be able to match the incredible distance of the younger crowd who will have some eagle chips on this course.
Most of these players will have to alter their game a bit to be successful on this links adventure in Scotland.
I have hardly heard Stewart Cink's name this season. He must be in a bit of a comedown phase of his career after a British Open win last year.
After a huge win, emotional let downs must be addressed to keep your edge. New goals must be set,and habits changed to attain these new goals.
Even harder work is always important to stay ahead of the curve.
It's hard to stick with Tiger Woods doing well here,with so many hot players stepping up lately, but here goes.
