Tiger Woods: Could Fall Series Bring Him to a New Career Low?

However, every time we think Tiger could be on the upswing, it seems he hits a "new career low." In fact, it seems that's all the past two years have been—a good week or two for the year and then a Tiger that seems to find a new way to screw up a round in every tournament.
Although I still think Tiger's game will come back, at this point it's hard to see him having tons of success for the rest of the season.
Take the Frys. Tiger's playing just to get in some more competitive golf. He wants to win, but doesn't need to. For the majority of the field, it's their last shot to get their card for next year's PGA Tour.
I can't believe I'm saying this, but the majority of the field for the Frys is going to have more determination than Tiger Woods to win.
And that's where the issue could come in. What happens if Tiger doesn't finish top 25? In a tournament that will be lacking any big names, it almost seems that anything outside a top 10 would be a disappointment for Tiger.
Even though the field isn't as good as normal, that's still pressure to play some good golf. If Tiger can't stand up to it and finishes outside the top 25, he won't hear the end of how, in what is the equivalent of a minor league baseball rehab start, he was the pitcher who got shelled for six runs in three innings.
Although it seems like a feel-good tournament from the packaging, and although it seems improbable to go any lower, the Frys.com could go from a simple confidence boost to another new career low for Tiger.
