Tiger Woods British Open: Tiger’s Petulant Behavior on Golf Course Is Tiring

Claims are sprouting up from Royal Lytham & St Annes that Woods swore on the 11th tee on Friday, according to DailyRecord.co.uk. If true, these claims could cost the 14-time major champion.
R&A chief executive Peter Dawson said he will refer the matter to the PGA Tour after listening to the recordings.
Such legends as Tom Watson have criticized Woods for his behavior on the links in the past. Last year, he was fined by the European Tour for spitting on a green at the Dubai Classic. This year, he was reprimanded by the PGA Tour for kicking his club at the prestigious Masters.
I'm not a Tiger "hater," given I've picked him for all three majors this year, but I do have a problem with how he conducts himself.
It's easy to be all smiles when you are winning major after major—a golfer's true character is revealed when the chips are down, or when your chips aren't working.
Woods is one of the most successful golfers in history, yet he still has tantrums when things don't go his way on the golf course. It's starting to get tiring. If every golfer acted like Tiger does when one shot goes awry, we'd have an entire field of sniveling babies.
Woods is 36 years old. He needs to start acting like it. Yes, it must be frustrating to be a combined eight-over par in the final round of majors this year, but that doesn't mean you should sacrifice the integrity of the game with your outbursts. Show a little self-control.
I, for one, hope Woods wins another major championship. He has the ability to make incredible golf shots out on the links.
