Tiger Woods BMW Championship: Areas to Improve for Stellar Final Round

After a mediocre start to the tournament, Woods stormed up the leaderboard at the 2013 BMW Championship on Saturday and is in position to make a final push for his PGA Tour-leading sixth win of the season.
Woods shot a five-under 66 in Saturday's third round, highlighted by an impressive back nine performance that included four birdies. At nine under par, he's now four strokes behind tournament leader Jim Furyk.
With important FedEx Cup points on the line in Sunday's final round, let's take a look at where Tiger needs to improve for one more stellar performance at Conway Farms.
Driving Accuracy
Woods is having no problem making solid contact with the ball off the tee, evidenced by his impressive 313.3 yards per drive average.
The area that needs improvement is accuracy.
His inconsistent accuracy off the tee is setting up a lot of difficult second shots from the rough, which is one reason why he's missing a lot of greens in regulation (GIR). Woods' GIR of 68.5 percent is the worst among the players in the top five of the leaderboard.
If he's able to drive the ball accurately and stay out of the rough, Woods should have no problem being under par on Sunday.
Holes 1 and 5

There's nothing worse in a final round than a poor start, and for Woods to build some momentum and put pressure on Jim Furyk and the rest of the golfers ahead of him, he must do a better job on the first and fifth holes.
