Tiger Woods AT&T National: What Former No. 1 Must Do to Win at Congressional

Woods shot an impressive 68 on Day 2 at Congressional, which leaves him just three shots behind the leader at two-under par. However, there is no doubt he needs to make several adjustments to his game in order to secure his second AT&T National title in Bethesda, Md..
What Woods did especially well in Round 2 that he failed to do in Round 1 was put the ball with consistency. After posting three bogey in Day 1, it was evident that Woods' putting game was cleaned up drastically.
His nightmare putting that had hurt him significantly over the last two seasons was anything but apparent in his game in his second round triumph, posting just one bogey, two birdies and even an eagle on hole 16.
Tiger must also assert himself more on the back nine. His front nine play has been sensational this tournament, boasting just three of his four birdies in the tournament in those holes. It is critical that he capitalize in holes nine through 18 as it will likely make the difference in whether or not he wins this tournament.
More than anything, Woods needs to go into rounds three and four with the same confidence and swagger that he once brought to the table on weekend play.
Tiger is as dangerous as any with his swing. He can drive the ball with ease and has the championship experience that no other golfer on the tour has. Given his success at this tournament in particular and the fact he won last time it was held at Congressional, he needs to simply play like it is his title for the taking. Confidence has been lacking from his game for some time now, and will have to be present in order to claim victory in these last 36 holes.
