Tiger Woods at WGC Cadillac Championship 2013: Day 1 Analysis, Highlights, More

With the world's top players competing at the TPC Blue Monster in Miami, Woods showed he would be challenging for the lion's share of the prize this weekend. He finished with a score of minus-six for the day and is currently in a five-way tie for first.
He fared much better than the players he was grouped with, as Luke Donald shot two-under for the round and Rory McIlroy continued his struggles and was one-over on the day. But that did not stop Woods and McIlroy from maintaining friendly banter throughout the round.
It was a calm day at the course in South Florida that made for a relatively easy play. Woods took advantage of the kind conditions and put himself in position to contend for his second PGA Tour victory of the season.
Here is a look at some his best shots for the round and how the top of the leaderboard looks after the first day of action.
Highlights
Woods had no problem tapping the ball in for another birdie on the first hole after a fantastic chip from just outside the green.
But he saved his best shots for later in the day, starting with fantastic shot to set up an easy birdie putt on the second hole.
When Woods putts like this, he is nearly impossible to beat. With a few more shots like this 39-footer on No. 4 in the later rounds will likely land him a victory.
The shot of the day for Woods came on No. 7 when he dropped his 158-yard approach just five feet from the cup.
