Tiger Woods: Adjustments Star Must Make to Finally Earn Another Major Victory

It marks yet another failure for Woods, who hasn’t earned a major victory since the 2008 U.S. Open over four years ago.
If Tiger is going to start winning again at the most prestigious and important events on the schedule, he’s going to have to make some switches to the way he approaches the game.
Let’s take a look at what must happen for the 14-time major winner to win capture No. 15.
Have a Backup Plan
Tiger seems like he goes into each and every tournament with a plan to dominate. Sometimes this works, as it did at the AT&T National just a few weeks ago, when Woods was able to dominate the Blue Course at Congressional.
However, the 36-year-old did not cope well to having his plans derailed over the weekend at Royal Lytham and St. Annes.
Unless Woods decides to adapt to his place on the leaderboard and conditions of the course, he’s going to have a tough time winning this 15th major.
Stubbornness Must Go
When Woods isn’t able to get a solid look at the green off the tee, he needs to be more willing to bust out his driver and continue trekking down the course.
At the Open Championship this past weekend, Woods was using his irons to try and approach the green and failing miserably.
Unfortunately, he was too stubborn to make the adjustment and subsequently failed at the tournament for this reason.
Luck
Woods is a great golfer. He might make some bad decisions and be stubborn on the course, but the bottom line is he has played well enough to win another major—he just hasn’t been lucky enough.
