The Heritage: Brandt Snedeker out Duels Luke Donald in Extra Holes for the Title

Snedeker, behind his low round of the day, 64, had to wait nearly two hours before he knew if he would need to go to a playoff with Luke Donald to decide this year's Heritage Classic.
The wait almost saw a third player join the playoff hunt for the 2011 title with South Carolina's own Tommy "Two Gloves" Gainey making a charge on the back nine only to come up one shot short of making the duo a trio in the playoffs.
Gainey fired a three-under-par 68 to finish in solo third in his home state.
With Gainey out of the picture and Jim Furyk; an early contender, taking disasters on 15 and 18 both with double bogeys, shooting himself out of the tournament with a five-over 76. Luke Donald came to the tee on 18 knowing he needed a par to force a playoff or birdie for the win and the No. 1 ranking in the world.
Donald made his par on 18 and he and Snedeker would go back to the tee on 18 for a sudden-death playoff to decide the 2011 Heritage Classic. The format would be they would play 18 again. If they were still tied after that hole, they would go to 17 and play each of these two holes to decide a winner.
Snedeker and Donald mirrored each other on the first two playoff holes, both carding birdie and par on 18 and 17, respectively.
Donald, who had just put on a bunker clinic this entire tournament and especially during the final round on Sunday, found the left front green-side bunker on 18 for a second time in his final round.
