Shame On You: NBC to Show the Second Day of the Ryder Cup on Tape Delay

The Ryder Cup is one of the most prestigious events in golf - possibly in all sports - yet NBC has decided that during the second day of play on Saturday that they are going to show it on a tape delay.
And not once have I heard a good reason as to why its being done this way.
ESPN is showing the first day live from 2:30am eastern until 1pm. The singles matches on Sunday will be live on NBC. There's no reasonable excuse for the network to not air Saturday's pairings live as well.
I personally enjoy watching the Ryder Cup. Its the "Us vs. Them" thing I guess. Plus, golf is usually an individual game, so its nice to see the guys and their respective teams bond together, even if its only for three days.
What I don't enjoy is waking up seeing the team of Tiger/Furyk or Mickelson/Stricker 1-up on the 16th hole only to know that the match is already over and was halved. I want to see it as it unfolds.
If I want spoilers for something, I can go onto pro wrestling websites and look up what happens on Friday Night Smackdown, since its taped on Tuesday night.
I obviously wouldn't purposely go looking for spoilers, but what if it goes to commercial and I'm flipping through to ESPN and I see the outcome already? What if my dad calls me and complains about the fact that he read a newswire saying the U.S. is down 7 to 5 even though on TV they've only played four matches?
I think you see the point I'm making.
Of course, I shouldn't expect much from a network that in the late 90's had great TV shows like "Seinfeld" and "Friends", but now puts out stuff like "Undercovers" and "Chase" that can only beat the CW in ratings. And their best shows like "Chuck" and "Community" get left on Monday and Thursday "death-slots" going up against "Dancing With The Stars", "House", and "Big Bang Theory".
