Ryder Cup 2012 Winner: Europeans Who Will Translate Win into PGA Tour Success

But which Europeans will carry their success into future tournaments? Certainly not all will be able to sustain their quality play from Sunday.
These golfers will not be at Medinah Country Club anymore, where the greens run fast and birdies are always in play. Also, these upcoming tournaments will not be a match play setup nor team-based events; every player will be playing for himself.
That will change some players' performances going forward. Here are the ones who all come out favorable.
Ian Poulter
Poulter served as the Europeans' rock all weekend, winning all four of his possible points at this Ryder Cup.
Even when his team looked on the outs, Poulter kept delivering birdies to keep the Europeans within striking distance.
No shots were more important than his two birdies on the 17th and 18th greens that sealed the deal in match play singles against Webb Simpson. Poulter looked cool as a cucumber as he went from all squared with the U.S. Open champion to outright winner.
Justin Rose
Golf nuts roll their eyes when they see Justin Rose play a complete round like this Ryder Cup performance.
Rose always seems on the cusp of breaking out on the Tour, but struggles with inconsistency have hindered his development.
Not at this Ryder Cup. Rose went toe-to-toe with one of the Americans' top golfers this weekend in Phil Mickelson.
He finished off Lefty with a strong finish, including a birdie on the 18th green that may have tipped the scales for the Europeans.
The Englishman will transfer a brilliant Sunday to more success on the Tour.
