Ryder Cup 2012 Scores: Biggest Disappointments from U.S. Team in Stunning Loss

Team captain Davis Love III picked a solid team for this year's event, but some of the best golfers on the U.S. squad failed the team when it mattered most.
Let's take a look at the biggest disappointments on the American side from the 2012 Ryder Cup.
Tiger Woods
Coming into this event, Woods had a ton of pressure on him to perform well after a 2012 season in which he failed to win a major.
Woods didn't get off to a great start on Friday, dropping his first two matches. The afternoon session proved to be a better one for Woods that day, but the 14-time major winner still couldn't notch a victory.
On Saturday, Woods was left off the squad for the morning session, and in the afternoon, he and Steve Stricker once again failed to lead their team to victory over Luke Donald and Sergio Garcia.
On the final day of play, Woods was only able to salvage a split with Francesco Molinari after missing an easy three-foot putt. It was the perfect ending to what was a bad weekend for Woods.
Steve Stricker
Stricker falls into the same category as Woods, since the pair was an abysmal 0-3 over the course of the first two days of the Ryder Cup, failing to contribute to the early lead the U.S. picked up as mentioned above.
Like Woods, Stricker was also left off the Saturday morning squad.
On the final day of play, Stricker had a chance to save the American team with a win over Martin Kaymer, but failed to do so.
Kaymer would go on to defeat Stricker in the 1-up match after dropping in a six-foot putt that sealed the victory for Europe.
That devastating loss was just the latest disappointment in what was a nightmare weekend for Stricker.
