Robert Garrigus shot the best ever 54-hole score at the 2012 RBC Canadian Open, but it was Scott Piercy who stole the show in Sunday's final round.

Piercy used a fourth-round 67 to get to 17-under for the tournament and squeak out a close victory over Garrigus, who led the eventual leader by two strokes after the first three rounds.
Piercy comes away with $936,000 for his efforts. He beat Garrigus and William McGirt by just one stroke, despite brilliant play from the two runner-ups throughout the weekend.
Ernie Els failed to make the cut after his impressive display at the British Open. He shot a 72 and a 70 over the first two days. Els could have made the cut if the field wasn't so good collectively, but it was just not his tournament to win.
Vijay Singh finished tied for seventh with a four-round score of 12-under to bring home just over $162,000 for his efforts. Retief Goosen was one of 14 competitors to finished at 10-under par or better.
Some players will take some time off to rest up for the 2012 PGA Championship that is set to begin on August 9, while others will look for another tuneup in the form of the World-Golf Championships-Bridgestone Invitational or the Reno-Tahoe Open.
