This past Father's Day was the greatest Father's Day of my life. I don't have a son or a daughter. I didn't shoot 29 on the front nine, and I didn't record an eagle, birdie, or par. My drives were inaccurate. My putting was atrocious, but none of that mattered. Because I was blessed with the opportunity to play nine holes with my brother and father. We weren't playing in a tournament, nor were we playing for a prize. June 20, 2010, was a day where a father, and his two sons got the chance to spend quality time together on the golf course. That's all it was, and that's all I needed. Early on it was raining, but just like that, the rain stopped, the clouds began to part and the sun was shining. This moment was perfect. This moment was right. This moment that was about to happen was priceless. We approach the par three fifth hole, which was playing 120 yards. My brother steps into the tee box, and the greatest moment of my golfing career happened. With a pitching wedge in hand, he begins his swing. He makes contact with the ball, and it's a swing of beauty. The ball lands a couple of feet past the pin on the green, spins backward, and the ball goes right into the cup. My brother made a hole-in-one, and I celebrated as if I recorded my first ace. But that's how special it was, and this was certainly a moment that I will remember for the rest of my life.
