PGA Championship Results 2013: Highlighting Golfers Ready to Finish Year Strong

While that means ending the year on a hot streak won't lead to a coveted major title, it will lead to a lucrative and prestigious close.
This is thanks in large part to the FedEx Cup—right around the corner—which offers up a massive $67 million over its four weeks. Next week's Wyndham Championship is the last PGA event the pros can use to get ready for the tour's playoff.
The way these next three guys are playing, they are going to be taking a big chunk of that massive payout.
Jason Dufner
As I'm sure you noticed, Jason Dufner had himself a solid PGA Championhsip. He claimed his first major title, and the way he was striking the ball at Oak Hill means has a great chance to add another victory to his resume before the year ends.
Dufner's win was his first of the year. It came after he picked up his first two PGA wins the previous year and looked poised to be a consistent factor on tour this year. He hasn't been.
It wasn't until he was fourth at the U.S. Open that he had a top-10 finish in a PGA start this year. However, it was that U.S. Open where Dufner began to find the golden stroke that led him to the PGA Championship title.
Dufner's amazing ball-striking and ability to go pin-hunting led him to a 67 in the final round at the U.S. Open and propelled him up the leaderboard.
While he missed the cut in his start following the U.S. Open, he put together a solid 26th at the British Open, a fourth at the WGC-Bridgestone and then claimed his maiden triumph in a major.
Dufner has his game rolling at an elite level, and he is ready to make a strong showing in the FedEx Cup.
