Saturday Predictions Walker Won't Slow Down
After a first-round five-under 65, Jimmy Walker spent over 85 percent of his holes scrambling, which meant that he missed a green in regulation and was still able to record a par or better.
That isn't the kind of way to play, and a repeat of that could have proved disastrous to his second-day lead. Instead, Walker went out and stayed consistent by recording a four-under 66.
His greens in regulation were average at 69.44 percent, and his driving accuracy was even worse at 53.57 percent.
But once again, it was his putter that paced him and helped him lower his score. He was able to knock down a number of long putts, including a 26-footer on No. 12 and a 38-footer on No. 13, which can be seen via the European Tour:
If his putter remains that hot, then he's going to stay in contention not only on Saturday but Sunday as well.
