Jimmy Walker is currently leading the charge on nine under par after he added a 66 to his opening-day 65 on Friday, while Robert Streb sits alongside his countryman thanks to an impressive seven-under-par 63 on Day 2.
But the American duo are in very good company at the top of the tree, as some of the world’s best players are looking to chase them down on Saturday and win the final major of the season.

Saturday Storylines
Although Walker and Streb lead the PGA Championship heading into Round 3, the big question on everyone’s lips is whether they can stay there.
Well, they certainly look capable of being at the business end of the proceedings come Sunday evening.
Walker has looked in imperious form since Day 1, playing some excellent golf tee to green and limiting his mistakes.
In fact, he’s had just two bogies all week and has scrambled brilliantly around the greens. Former PGA Tour caddy Michael Collins labelled the American "solid":
His putting hasn’t been bad, either. Walker holed some monster putts on his way to a four-under-par 66 on Friday, including a 35-foot effort on the 13th, as the European Tour’s video shows:
If the American continues to be lethal with the flat stick and accurate off the tee, then he’ll undoubtedly be in with a chance of lifting the Wanamaker Trophy.
Streb, meanwhile, shot an emphatic seven-under-par 63 on Friday to tie the major tournament record and surge to the top of the leaderboard.
