But who can we find on the opposite end of the spectrum with the most disappointing finishes of the event?
Phil Mickelson (+12)
On July 21, Phil Mickelson won the 2013 Open Championship in dramatic fashion, shooting a fourth-round 66 to finish at three under par and win the event for the first time in his illustrious career. Less than one month later, Mickelson was looking to win his second consecutive major at the PGA Championship.
Instead, he shot 12 over par in one of the worst performances of his career.
Mickelson had a decent start, shooting consecutive scores of 71 to bring his count to two over par and remain in the hunt. With a third-round 78, however, Lefty effectively lost any chance of coming back, and his overall score dropped to 10 over par.
With a fourth-round 72, Mickelson completed one of the worst weeks of golf we've ever seen him play, finishing at 12 over par.
It's hard to imagine anyone predicted this performance from a player who ranks ninth all time in PGA Tour victories and owns five major championships. Mickelson has been known for his rather out-of-control style of play, but this crossed into new boundaries.
Lefty collapsed in the worst way possible.
