After the second round, Brendan Steele and Matt Kuchar sit in the lead.
Here's a look at the leaderboard:
Both leaders sit at 12 under after two rounds. Steele went five under Friday, while Kuchar recorded a six-under.
Kuchar got things done with his stellar approach game.
The PGA Tour showed a number of his solid shots to the green:
He hit 75 percent of his greens in regulation, well above the PGA Tour average, which hovered around 66 percent Friday.
Once on the green, he was unstoppable as well, gaining 1.988 strokes, which was far ahead of the tour average of 0.000.
Steele put up almost identical numbers, as he also hit 75 percent of his greens in regulation, but he fared better with the putter, with which he gained 2.380 strokes Friday.
Emiliano Grillo and Gary Woodland are one stroke behind the leaders after going six and seven under Friday, respectively.
World No. 1 Jason Day is lurking outside the top 10 with a seven-under overall after going one under Friday.
After going one over on his first nine holes, Day recorded three birdies and a bogey on his final nine holes.
No. 3 Rory McIlroy is tied with Day at seven under after his big six-under performance Friday, which helped him distance himself from the cut line. He recorded eight birdies on the day, including seven in an 11-hole span, as the PGA Tour showed:
No. 2 Jordan Spieth isn't far behind at six under overall. He recovered well, recording six birdies in his final nine holes to go four under on the day after beginning his round with two bogeys on Nos. 1 and 4.
