Masters Payout 2015: Latest Projections for Top Prize-Money Earners

A total purse of $9 million in winnings await the world’s best golfers after this year’s tournament, and the winner alone will take home a cool $1.62 million. Golf.com’s Brendan Mohler provided the complete payout information.
Here is a look at the top of the standings after Saturday’s third round, as well as the projected payouts if the leaderboard remains the same. One important note—if players are tied in a given position, the values of the typical payouts for those spots are added and divided by the number of players to decide each player’s share.
For example, if two players are tied for second place, the prize money allocated for second and third is added and then divided by two.

Jordan Spieth Maintains the Lead
If nothing else, it was a colorful scorecard for Jordan Spieth Saturday.
Spieth only tallied seven pars to go along with seven birdies, three bogeys and a disappointing double bogey during the third round. In all, he finished with a two-under 70, which was far from the combined 14-under fans saw during the first two rounds. It kept the door slightly ajar for the rest of the field to stay in contention with one more round to go Sunday.
Spieth looked to be well on his way to another impressive day, but he turned in a double-bogey six on the par-four 17th. It was a shocking change from the steady approach he has displayed throughout the first three rounds.

He is still four strokes clear of the rest of the field and set the 54-hole scoring record at the Masters, so complaining about the bogeys feels like nitpic...
