Woodrow is responsible for putting this pressure on himself by starting his career at such a blistering pace. Every time Tiger steps on the course it’s asinine to think that he’s not going to win, but that was then and this is now.
Tiger Woods started last season under extreme circumstances including numerous questions about his personal life, a media circus every time he was viewed in public, a sit down press interview, and a pending divorce/separation that now we can say jolted the unbreakable Tiger Woods.
This year he was supposed to put it all behind him and become the Tiger Woods of old.
We used to think it would take something special to knock one of the most dominant golfers off his pedestal, but little did we know it would only take a female…or 19 of them.
Woods started the day seven shots back, but would make the turn with a 5 under 31 to tie the lead with Rory McIlroy and Charl Schwartzel.
Tiger had his chances on the back nine for birdies and even his second eagle of the day, but has now completed 18 months without a victory.
This continues to be the longest drought of his professional career.
Tiger’s 2010 season contributed to him losing his number one overall ranking after spending five months out of golf, including two months at sexual rehab at a Mississippi clinic.
While we should move on and past what Tiger has been through these last two and half years it becomes more difficult to do so when we see Tiger continuing to not win.
It’s amazing that someone dominant at a sport the way that Tiger was could fall dramatically the way that he has.
