Masters 2011: Can Dustin Johnson Win It All at Augusta National This Year?

Dustin Johnson's best finish at Augusta National was tied for 30th in 2009. He has only played the course two years, but he feels this could be his year.
I'm starting to play pretty good, and I feel my game is getting a lot better, so I'm definitely comfortable coming in here," Johnson said. "I know the course pretty well. I've played it a few times leading up to this week, and I feel I'm getting more comfortable on the greens, which is the key for me."
Johnson has intensely prepared for this tournament like all the others. Is this the year he cracks the top 10 or wins it all?
He has yet to win a major championship, but he continues to get better. Johnson attended Coastal Carolina for four years and once turned down a trip to play at Augusta National. The 26-year-old golfer from South Carolina wanted his first time playing the course to be as a member of the PGA tour.
Johnson has learned a lot from his previous two years playing the course.
"The more times you’re there, the more times you’re in contention,†Johnson said, “the more you learn about yourself and your game....A lot of it is just patience."
Will he have the patience this year?
I believe Johnson can be in contention on Sunday, but he isn't quite ready to wear the green jacket. If he can play like he did in the final round of 2009 I like his chances.
In 2009 Johnson became the second golfer ever to eagle back-to-back holes. I'm not saying he has to do that again to win it all, but the more eagles he hits obviously the better he will do.
He's playing well so far this year, and a good opening round today will give him great confidence heading into the weekend.
"The golf course sets up perfect for me," Johnson said. "I love the golf course."
