Lombard’s closest challenger is Wu Ashun, who made seven birdies and not a single bogey on his way to the 10 under tournament total.

Lombard, playing alongside Gregory Bourdy, got off to a fast start, with birdies on 1, 3, 6 and 7, but disaster struck on the ninth.
The South African was three shots clear of the field and swinging well standing on the tee, yet he carded an ugly triple bogey seven to undo all of his previous good work.
It’s how a player recovers from a setback that defines him, though, and Lombard wasted no time in getting back on the birdie train.
A solid approach at the 11th put Lombard back to nine under, before a superb birdie on the 225-yard par-three 14th put him level with Wu at the top.
Lombard the found his way to a three on the par-four 17th before an excellent up and down on the 18th kept him top of the tree.
Wu, meanwhile, started Round 3 four shots back of leaders Lombard and Bourdy, but he wasted no time closing the gap with three birdies in his first four holes.
Another birdie on the long par-four eighth moved the Chinaman to seven under for the tournament, and he continued to attack flags after the turn.
Birdies on 10, 13 and 14 sent Wu top of the pile at 10 under, and it’s safe to say it could have got even better for him.
He wasted chances on the par-five 15th and 16th, although overall it was a job well done.
