Justin Rose Has Withdrawn from the Honda Classic

The reigning U.S. Open Champion and No. 6 ranked player in the world initially injured his shoulder last August at the Barclays after throwing a golf ball to his caddie. (Who says that golfers aren’t athletes?)
Initially Rose’s injury did not seem to have much of an impact on his game as he posted top-10 finishes in six consecutive events worldwide to close out his 2013 season.
But, following a fourth-place finish at the Thailand Golf Championship, Rose shut it down for about two months before returning to competition at the Northern Trust Open in early February.
Rose said at the Northern Trust Open, per ASAP Sports:
I played a lot of golf late into the season last year and if I'm honest, I played a little bit injured, a little bit hurt. I was hoping that the Christmas break would clean things up but I had to work a little bit harder at my fitness than that but it's really good to be back out and really looking forward to start the year here at Riviera.
According to Ryan Lavner of golfchannel.com, Rose’s manager, Andrew Kipper, said in a statement that Rose’s decision to withdraw from the Honda Classic was more of a precautionary measure.
Kipper also said that Rose had been a bit “aggressive” in his decision to schedule four consecutive events upon returning to the tour earlier this month.
In recent years, due in large part to many touring professionals moving to the South Florida area, the Honda Classic has grown into one of the strongest-fielded non-major events of the season.
Despite Rose’s absence, seven out of the top 10 players in the world, including Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, Adam Scott and Rory McIlroy, will be attending this week’s Honda Classic, which kicks off on Thursday at PGA National in Palm Beach Gardens...
