After three tough days at Royal Troon Golf Club, the 22-year-old bagged his first eagle of the tournament at the fourth hole, going out one under after a bogey at eight. Back-to-back birdies at 10 and 11 added more momentum to his round, before another bogey and another birdie saw him finish three under for the day.

Spieth Finishes Strongly On Saturday, Spieth’s threatened to catch fire in the early stages, as he charged to a four-under in the first seven holes. Day 4 got off to a much less spectacular start.
Still, the American played pretty solid golf overall, rattling off three consecutive pars to begin his round. At the fourth, though, he gave the spectators who ventured out early a big treat.
Spieth struck a brilliant second shot into the green at the par-five fourth, and for the first time this week, he helped himself to an eagle with a fine putt. Here’s a look at the first eagle of the day:
The world No. 3 looked to be in good touch at this juncture, although he let some opportunities for birdie slip by at the next three holes, stringing together another trio of pars.
Spieth came to lament those misses at the eighth, as he skewed his tee shot to the Postage Stamp and made bogey. He suffered a double at this hole on Friday, and you suspect the youngster would have been glad to get that hole out of the way for good.
