Five hours of play were lost on Thursday and a further three hours during Round 2 as Chris Paisley held the lead after five birdies from 13 holes.
Major winner Danny Willett sits in second place on nine under for the tournament—a single shot behind his compatriot at the top of the leaderboard.

A double bogey on No. 6 was his only big error, as the 45-year-old dealt with the inclement conditions at the Golf Club Milano.
Willett continued his strong form from the opening round before being forced to a standstill. The Englishman sank four birdies during the 13 holes he played.
