Honda Classic 2012: Why Tiger Woods Will Make a Sunday Charge

He shot an even-par 72 during the final round at Abu Dhabi earlier this year and let Robert Rock walk away with the victory. Woods let victory slip away from his hands yet again at the Pebble Beach National Pro-Am with a final round 75.
Unfortunately for Tiger, it's Sunday again at the Honda Classic. If he continues his trend this week, then Sunday's final round will be another struggle for Woods.
However, let's also take into consideration that in the two stroke play events he played this year, Woods has always had a superb round that put him in contention on Sunday.
He shot a six-under 66 during the third round at Abu Dhabi to tie the lead and vaulted himself to third place at Pebble Beach with a five-under 67.
So far, he's playing subpar golf with rounds of 71, 68, and 69 to put him at two under par heading into Sunday. Woods is currently nine back of Rory McIlroy and will need a miracle Sunday charge to get him somewhere close to the leaders.
Then again, he hasn't posted a low round like he had during his other two stroke play events, so Sunday may be Tiger's day.
As of now Woods faces simply faces two paths.
If he breaks down in the final round like he has in his previous two stroke play events, then Woods will continue to spiral down the leaderboard.
However, if he can get his putting woes fixed, Woods may have a chance to go low on Sunday. Anywhere around a 64 or 65 is possible, and if Woods gets on a hot streak, there's no knowing how low he may go.
