Henrik Stenson First Golfer to Win Race to Dubai and FedEx Cup in Same Season

The Telegraph made note of the accomplishment:
Stenson pulled away from the pack with an 8-under round of 64, which was enough to beat Ian Poulter by six strokes and Victor Dubuisson by eight strokes. It was his latest display of unmatched form, which started in the FedEx Cup playoffs and carried over the Atlantic.
His 25-under score for the event set the tournament record by two strokes, as pointed out by Steve Elling of The National:
Elling also passed along a fun moment between Stenson and Poulter, friends who served as rivals in recent weeks as Poulter tried to chase down the title. At the final hole, he finally admitted defeat before celebrating with the dual champion:

Stenson's finish to the season was nothing short of remarkable. Starting in July, he played in 11 tournaments across the two tours. In eight of those 11 events he finished in the top 10. He won three times, including the final tournament of each season.
Tiger Woods had a spectacular season of his own with five victories in just 16 PGA Tour starts. But given Stenson's dominance near the end of the year, it's hard to consider him anything less than the best golfer for 2013.

Stenson finished the year with a flurry and now has the two marquee championships to show for it. After finishing the celebration, the focus will shift to a dual repeat, which would be even more impressive.
