Greenbrier Classic 2012: Disappointing Golfers Who Will Rebound at British Open

While the Open is often a house of horrors in itself, it's not unconquerable by any means. Look for the following golfers to rebound with strong showings in the third major of the year.
Tiger Woods
Woods missed the cut at Greenbrier, but that doesn't discount the fact that he's been playing like the best golfer in the world.
Tiger is the only player to win three PGA Tour events this season. He also leads the FedEx Cup points standings, the money list, and his average score of 69.08 is the best on tour.
Woods hasn't won a major since 2008, but he finally looks ready to pull off such a feat. With three Open Championships to his name already, he's definitely capable of taking home the trophy.
Jim Furyk
Jim Furyk also missed the cut at Greenbrier, but the 2010 PGA Tour Player of the Year should bounce back at the Open.
He's one of the most consistent golfers on tour, and he's already got four top-10 finishes this year, including a fourth-place finish at the U.S. Open. He's also finished fourth or tied for fourth in three different Open Championships, so he's had plenty of success there before.
I doubt Furyk will win, but look for him to make another top-10 finish at the Open.
Phil Mickelson
Lefty has struggled the last month and a half, but he still has five top-10 finishes and one win this season.
He's also had some recent success at the Open, finishing tied for second in last year's event. Mickelson has been battling some health issues, and it seems like his head hasn't been entirely in the game.
If he makes some adjustments, though, Lefty will be as dangerous as anybody when the Open kicks off July 19.
