Fowler's victory catapulted him from outside of the top 10 all the way into No. 3 in the latest FedEx Cup standings, which still see Day out in front after his four victories and finishing tied for 12th place Monday. Spieth remained in second after missing the cut and picking up no points, while Watson held onto a top-five spot.

The evening in Norton, Massachusetts, may have ended with Fowler hoisting his third trophy of the season, but for much of the afternoon, that didn't appear to be the most likely scenario.
That's because Stenson began his final round a man on a mission, remaining firmly in front with nobody but Fowler near him on the leaderboard. The Swedish golfer's booming fairway hits gave him a distance advantage, as Shane Bacon of Fox Sports quipped:
As the final pair reached the back nine, the tournament was still Stenson's to lose as he held his lead over Fowler. The lead was three after 10 and one with five holes left, but a costly mistake on the 16th hole turned the tables in the American's favor.
Stenson's approach shot on No. 16 found water, leading to a double bogey that pushed Fowler in front. After coming from behind dramatically, he wasn't about to give up the championship and a quick 2,000 FedEx Cup points.
